Yes. If another driver caused the damage, your level of cover doesn't matter — we claim against their insurer and you shouldn't be out of pocket. If the damage was your own doing, third party won't cover your car, so you'd be paying privately. We'll quote it either way.
Sometimes the honest answer is no. If the repair costs more than the car is worth on the private market, we'll tell you rather than take the job. For most dents, scuffs and bumper damage on a running car, repair still makes financial sense.
Often, yes. A bumper corner can be repaired and blended instead of replaced, and a dent can be pulled without full panel refinishing. The result won't be showroom perfect, and we'll say so upfront, but it's a sound, rust-free repair at a lower price.
A good quote separates labour, parts and paint rather than giving one lump figure. It should state whether paint is blended into neighbouring panels, and whether parts are new, used or aftermarket. If a quote doesn't show those things, ask before you accept it.
